Journée à la Chute Montmorency (février 2009)

La journée de cours sur le site de la Chute Montmorency permet aux étudiants de plein-air 2 de se familiariser avec différentes techniques alpines. Ce « terrain de jeu » exceptionnel avec ses pentes enneigées de plus de 45 degrés d’inclinaison, est idéal pour pratiquer les différentes techniques de manipulation de piolet (tenue, freinages d’urgence, etc), d’encordement et de progression en milieu alpin. Le pain de sucre lui, est propice à l’initiation aux crampons de marche et à la progression avec piolet en pente soutenue. Un panorama à couper le souffle qui, sur certaines photos, nous donne l’illusion d’être ailleurs qu’au Québec, avec en prime le spectacle de grimpeurs expérimentés sur les parois de chaque côté de la chute.
